Back to School Community Day is a free community initiative dedicated to helping students, families, teachers, and classrooms prepare for a successful school year.

As the cost of school supplies continues to rise and educators are increasingly expected to do more with limited resources, many families and teachers face challenges obtaining the tools needed for academic success. Through this annual initiative, ITAVFoundation works alongside community partners, businesses, and volunteers to help bridge those gaps by providing essential resources directly to those who need them most.

This year’s event will feature backpack and school supply distribution, classroom support resources for teachers, free haircuts and braiding services, family-friendly activities, community resources, and opportunities for families to connect with organizations that support educational and community well-being.

Our goal is to distribute more than 700 backpacks throughout the community while also supporting teachers through our Classroom Support Box Program, which provides essential classroom materials and educational resources.

More than a one-day event, Back to School Community Day reflects our ongoing commitment to educational equity, family support, and community empowerment. By investing in students, supporting educators, and strengthening families, we help create opportunities that extend far beyond the first day of school.
