When Schools Close, Communities Feel It
There are moments when the headlines stop feeling like headlines and start feeling personal. This is one of them. Philadelphia is once again facing the reality of school closures. For
ITAVFoundation is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to making a difference in the inner-city community of Philadelphia and Jamaica. Our mission is to increase access to quality education and support vulnerable communities affected by social issues.
We believe every child deserves to start the school year prepared and confident. Your generous contribution helps provide backpacks, school supplies, educational resources, and family support services to children and families in our community. Together, we can remove barriers to learning, support academic success, and ensure students have the tools they need to reach their full potential.
By investing in maternal support and education, we’re helping parents and caregivers access the knowledge, resources, and community connections they need to thrive. Through education, self advocacy, prenatal and postpartum support, and family centered resources, we are promoting healthier outcomes for parents and children, reducing barriers to care, and building stronger communities for generations to come.
ITAVFoundation World AIDS Day Youth Concert is a community event that uses the power of music, art, and creative expression to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and overall health and wellness. Designed to engage youth and families, the event promotes education, prevention, early detection, and access to resources through interactive programming, community partnerships, rapid HIV testing, and health education. Our goal is to create an inclusive space that encourages informed decision making, reduces stigma, and inspires healthier communities.
At ITAVFoundation, we’re committed to ensuring everyone has access to education and support. Through our programs and partnerships, we empower individuals and communities to thrive. Our mission is simple: to make a positive difference by bridging educational gaps and promoting well-being for all.

To inspire and equip youth and young adults with the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to succeed creatively, personally, and professionally. Through arts education, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and hands on learning experiences, participants are encouraged to explore their talents, express themselves through creative mediums, and develop the confidence and skills necessary to become future leaders, innovators, and business owners.
Through our commitment to empowering youth, families, and underserved communities, we recognize that education is a cornerstone of personal and professional growth. We strive to provide opportunities that promote lifelong learning, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and access to resources, ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds, including immigrant communities, have the tools they need to succeed and thrive.
The Philadelphia public school system faces significant challenges due to chronic underfunding. Teachers are often left to bridge the gap by spending their own money on classroom supplies. On average, 3.5 million educators nationwide are shelling out at least $500 annually out of their pockets to ensure their students have the tools they need to learn and succeed.
Our goal is simple: to give 1000 school bags full of supplies to students who need them. This will help teachers and families by making sure every child has what they need for school.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a difference.
