ITAVFoundation is excited to announce the Maternal Support and Education Day, scheduled for July 20, 2024, from 12 PM to 5 PM at the MQ Factory – Ricky Codio Studio, located at 126 Leverington Ave, Manayunk, Philadelphia, PA 19127. This event aims to provide comprehensive support, resources, and education to expectant individuals and veteran parents, with a special focus on the wellness of Black, LGBTQ+, and immigrant communities.

The event will feature a variety of informative workshops, access to essential resources, and a day of community pampering. Highlights include:

• Free radiation-free breast screenings
• Prenatal yoga sessions
• A community baby shower with free diapers, wipes, and postpartum care packages for attendees
• Free face painting for kids
• A babysitting center to help moms enjoy the event while their kids are safe and engaged in activities
• Giveaways and food provided by Momma Love SoulFood with a Twist
• Free pampering sessions

Thanks to Temple Mobile Health Van, pregnant attendees will receive free blood pressure screenings as preeclampsia is very alarming within the Black and minority community.
