We’re excited to introduce Kristen Samuelson, one of our esteemed panelists for ITAVFoundation’s Annual Maternal Support and Education Day. With over eight years of experience as a peer advocate, Kristen has dedicated her life to serving hundreds of families, providing crucial support and guidance during some of their most challenging times. Kristen is the Director of Three Little Birds Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support, a non-profit organization committed to helping families through their grief.
About Three Little Birds Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support
Three Little Birds provides all its social services at no cost to the families they serve. The organization does not directly solicit support from the families they assist but deeply appreciates those who choose to give back after their journey. As a volunteer-based non-profit, Three Little Birds relies on the support of the local community to continue offering free services to everyone. Your ongoing support, kindness, and sharing of information and resources are invaluable.
Kristen’s role at Three Little Birds is multifaceted. She manages the organization’s virtual and in-person support, oversees the legacy project, and handles grant development. Her coordination of the Bedside Bereavement Program and website requests ensures that families receive timely and compassionate care. Additionally, Kristen is an accomplished author, having written several publications that offer comfort and guidance to families dealing with pregnancy and infant loss. Her works include the “A Nest for my Heart” journal, the pregnancy after loss book “As our Nest Grows,” and the sibling support book “Remembering Baby Bird.” She also developed the Perinatal Bereavement Training Workshop for medical professionals and advocates.
As a bereavement doula, Kristen is a tireless advocate for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of perinatal loss families. She offers resources and local support to help offset the unexpected financial burdens these families face. Her one-on-one consultations and spiritual readings as an intuitive healer provide personalized support and comfort to parents and families in need.
Beyond her advocacy work, Kristen brings over two decades of marketing and proposal writing experience in the engineering and construction industry. Her professional background adds a unique perspective to her advocacy, blending strategic thinking with heartfelt compassion.
We are honored to have Kristen Samuelson join our panel and share her wealth of knowledge and experience with our community. Her dedication and expertise are invaluable to the families she supports and to all who seek to better understand and assist those dealing with perinatal loss.
Join us on July 20, 2024, from 12 PM to 5 PM at 126 Leverington Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19127, to hear from Kristen and other inspiring panelists. Together, we’ll learn, support, and empower one another in our shared journey toward maternal wellness.
