Since 2010, Trudean Haye’s unwavering dedication has ignited a transformative journey through philanthropy and community empowerment. Beginning with the provision of 1,400 backpacks filled with school supplies for public schools in both Philadelphia and Jamaica, her impact has steadily expanded.
Through her commitment and the ITAVFoundation’s unwavering efforts, more than 10,000 backpacks teeming with essential educational materials have been donated. In 2012, Trudean’s vision took root as 7,500 reading books were collected for Philadelphia’s public school children. This initiative gave birth to the Plant The Seed Movement, fostering literacy, education, and artistic involvement among youngsters. An impressive 45,000 reading books have since been gathered and distributed to children within the community.
In 2014, Trudean Haye forged a partnership with The GIRL, U CAN DO IT, INC., a remarkable endeavor supporting individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS. She played a pivotal role in coordinating the RED, WHITE & U HIV Anti-Stigma Photoshoot and Campaign, a poignant demonstration of compassion and unity.
In 2017, ITAVFoundation hosted its inaugural World AIDS Day Event, a youth concert offering free HIV testing. This initiative has led over 400 people to undergo crucial testing, contributing to increased awareness and healthcare access.
The “Homeless Still Human” project emerged in 2018, offering nourishment and toiletry kits embellished with heartfelt “Notes Of Encouragement” to over 1,200 homeless individuals in Philadelphia’s Kensington area. Since its inception, the project has expanded its outreach to provide clothing, sustenance, and personal hygiene products to more than 7,000 individuals, alleviating the hardships faced by the homeless community.
In the same year, ITAVFoundation collaborated with Operation Turkey, spearheading the preparation and delivery of over 1,000 Thanksgiving meals on the holiday itself. Trudean’s leadership within Operation Turkey’s Philadelphia branches has yielded the provision of 9,000 meals, exemplifying the spirit of giving and unity during Thanksgiving.
Even amid the challenges of 2020, Trudean’s compassion remained steadfast. Organizing community baby shower events, she extended essential aid to expectant mothers, families, and single-parent households, benefiting more than 400 individuals during a time of great uncertainty.
In 2023, ITAVFoundation continued its impactful journey by partnering with Martin Luther King High School, providing support to both teachers and over 400 students.
During the same year, Trudean’s dedication to community advocacy soared to new heights. She joined the board of a cancer organization and assumed the role of Executive Director at the Byrd Cancer Education & Advocacy Foundation. Drawing upon her extensive experience as an International Activist and Founder of The ITAVFoundation, she brought her passion for grassroots community efforts to the forefront, advocating for cancer care accessibility for marginalized communities and immigrants.
