ITAVFoundation’s Village Care Day Celebrates Good Neighbor Day America

ITAVFoundation will host Village Care Day on May 16, 2026, in recognition of Good Neighbor Day America, a nationwide movement that encourages acts of kindness, service, and community connection. As communities across the country come together for this national day of service, Village Care Day will offer a localized, community-centered approach rooted in direct support and meaningful engagement.

Hosted in Philadelphia at Execute That Studio, located at 3244 North Front Street, the event will take place from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This pop-up activation is designed to support single-parent households through the distribution of essential resources. Families in attendance will receive care packages that include baby wipes, hygiene products, and household necessities intended to ease immediate needs. A limited number of additional items will be available, with all resources distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Village Care Day is presented in partnership with The Comfort Giver, whose support helps expand the reach and impact of this effort. Together, the organizations are working to create a space that is both practical and welcoming, where families can access support without barriers and feel a sense of dignity in the process.

In addition to resource distribution, the event will feature The Village Promise Wall, an interactive workshop component that invites participants to engage in reflection and intention-setting. Attendees will be encouraged to consider how they show up in their daily lives, within their families, and in their communities, and to write a personal promise that reflects that commitment. These messages will be added to a shared wall, creating a collective expression of accountability, care, and connection.

The event is grounded in the belief that community is strengthened through consistent acts of care, both large and small. By combining direct support with opportunities for reflection and engagement, Village Care Day aims to create an environment where families feel seen and supported, while also inviting broader community participation.

Attendees will also be provided with complimentary snacks and light beverages, with natural water ice provided by Tessy’s Natural Water Ice, contributing to a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all who attend.

Those interested in attending can register in advance at https://villagecareday.eventbrite.com. While registration is encouraged, supplies will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Village Care Day reflects ITAVFoundation’s ongoing commitment to meeting families where they are and providing support that is both tangible and intentional. As part of a larger national effort, the event demonstrates how localized action can contribute to a broader culture of care, service, and community connection.
